"Never Stop Exploring" is a quote hanging on the outside of the door to my ESL classroom. I work with many different students from countries around the world such as Mexico, Honduras, Cambodia, Sweden, and China. I strive to help them take pride in their culture and continue exploring the world, language, and education. Although our ESL population is small compared to some schools around us, we are growing in number each year. Some of our students have been in the country since birth and others come to us brand new with no English at all. Some have great backgrounds in their native language while others have poor educational experience to connect with. Our goal is to develop English fluency in our students while encouraging them to maintain their first language.
