My third graders are excited to learn, and they work so hard to keep up with the demands of current standards and curriculum. As they get older, students have to listen to learn while staying seated for longer periods of time. Kids need to balance the need for listening attentively with their need to move around. Different seating options will help my students move a bit while keeping their brains engaged. Kids who can bounce, wiggle, and move safely can learn more effectively.
