Students in Earth & Environmental Systems classes (4 sections) will play the game, Birth of Stars; enriching their understanding of how the Universe works. and introduce students to its expansiveness. Students will be able to visualize our solar system within the galaxy with the Planetarium. Students will watch the movie: The Martian and then complete the Exploring Mars Lab. Students will also use the Mars Globe to complete their plan, "If Earth is trashed, how will we live on Mars"? This final project will include their lab data, timeline for travel and a location chosen for implementation of a settlement on Mars. Students will not only learn about the universe, solar system and a specific planet but the importance of taking care of our Earth.
