This year we are concentrating on including more student use of technology in the classroom. By having tablets accessible for student use, they will be able to learn and work at their own pace. My students can utilize the tablets in all subject areas. Many of these students may not have access to technology when they are away from school. Introducing students to tablets for the use of school activities in the second grade will better prepare them for the technological uses in the upper elementary grades. My classroom is not yet at the level technologically to meet their needs as learner, however if we reach our goal in will help to bridge that gap.
