The use of calculators is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. I AP Calculus, we use these calculators to model various real life application problems that help students see the benefit in real life scenarios. Students are also excited to see how technology has advanced and being able to use these will build stronger technological advanced students in today's society. Using the workshop model in math, students use them for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. These calculators allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. By having these calculators, students will be able to focus on increasing their learning! These calculators will continue to enhance the technology-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a place that my students really enjoy!
