Our school is a high paced urban middle school where more than 35 languages are spoken! Brazil, Bangladesh, the Ivory Coast, Egypt, the Dominican Republic, Iraq, Uzbekistan, and Spain are just a sampling of the countries represented. The ESL students are at varying levels of English language proficiency. This project is targeted for beginning students, most of whom have been here less than a year. Our middle school has much to offer these ESL students academically and through the expressive arts and the students are highly motivated to learn and participate in activities.

About my class
