Currently, I'm hoping to fund a project called "Innovation Takes Flight," through which I hope to be able to purchase a camera drone for use in my Media Arts class. This equipment would allow us to do aerial shots similar to those from a helicopter or tall camera crane. Additionally, I hope that use of the drone inspires students to think about the technical, aesthetic, legal, and ethical issues that surround this truly new field and to consider the opportunities to be had in this emerging industry expected to grow to over $120 billion over the next ten years.
