Attention and focus is possibly the toughest part of learning for my students. They require a lot of redirection throughout the day. Finding internal and external motivation can also be a challenge. High interest, motivating, and engaging activities will drastically help improve the focus, attention, and motivation for my students to reach their goals. Fidgeting is typical. Most fully functional adults need to tap their pens or feet. My students needs this physical outlet of energy, yet don't always know how to do it appropriately. While my students are academically meeting grade level standards, the social and language component continues to be difficult for them.
