Hello! I am a science teacher for a school in Waterford, MI. This school is in an urban setting and a diverse population of students. Some of our students are just learning English. Unfortunately, some of our students are also living in poverty. I have found that doing hands on science with students improves their English, helps them with team building skills and motivates them. I want to introduce my students, who are in grade K-7, to some STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities this year. I hope that by integrating the subjects, they will better understand them. By working on group projects, the students will also acquire the skills they need to be valuable members of their future workplace. I have high aspirations for them, and I'd like to give them exciting science projects to work on, with nice science tools, of which we are greatly lacking in. Thank you so much for your help!
