All of the materials and supplies requested already have a "home". By that I mean they already have a place where they will be utilized. The school was but in the 1950s and all of the stage lights no longer work. We have a beautiful stage to act on but no lights to see the action. My students work very hard through out the year to put together shows that either have to be performed with all the lights on, cutting out any real aspects to compliment the work they have done, or not perform at all. These students of this Title I school deserve the opportunity, which is granted to our magnet schools, to be able to showcase their talents. The lights along with the sound system will tremendously help our students succeed not only in the classroom where only their peers can see them but also on stage so the world can see them.
