I teach a self contained autism class. Although my class is small in size my students are on varying degrees of receptive and expressive communication. I believe if they were more fluent in these areas, they would have ability to learn in an inclusion environment with their non-disabled peers. My school in comprised of students ranging from pre-k3 through 8th grade with 3 self contained autism classroom ranging from pre-k3 thru 5th grade. The school has a wealth of resources to support families like early stages, on site OT, Speech, and Psychologist.
