Making learning fun, while emphasizing the principles of science is my main goal for each day. I want my students to daily feel, see, and hear all there is to science. The magnetic kits I will be purchasing provide just such an experience. There will be enough kits purchased so that only pairs of students have to share materials, making the learning experience that much deeper with a greater understanding of the concept of magnetism. My students will be able to explore the kit and play with all the component parts before the actual lessons begin. Then, after sufficient time has been given for exploration, I will introduce magnetism as a force and demonstrate how we know it is a force. Then as the lessons continue, students will have a good grasp of the principles of magnetism and also be directed on how using magnetism in our world could help create less landfill garbage or garbage along the streets.
