We are a 3rd grade classroom in an amazing school. My students come to school every day eager to learn, most start their day with free breakfast as we are a Title 1 school and 95% of our students are on free/reduced lunch. I work with the most incredible kids, they love to learn everything they can, but they especially seem to love our science units. I try to incorporate a lot of art and hands on activities into my teaching as the kids seem to engage more with them and LOVE doing them. Every year I am amazed at how "hungry" the kids are to learn and every year I am impressed with the amount of learning that takes place. Even with all my kids struggles outside of school they give 110% every day and grow so much over the year. I feel that no only are they getting a good academic education but they are also learning to become good citizens of the world!
