In this project, I have included some basics for a welcoming classroom environment. This includes read along books and CDs for our listening center and a colorful and vibrant carpet for the library. My vision is for each student to develop a love for independent reading so I've included carpet squares - one for each of my kids. Lastly, I included snacks. Many of the kids in my class come to school hungry. This effects their ability to learn and focus and be productive students. I want them to have a snack to start the day or when they need it.
