My students have a wide range of reading levels. The texts that form our science library will allow every student - from emerging readers to those with more advanced reading skills - to read to LEARN! This is a library that will last for many, many years. I am in my 12th year of teaching science want to bring even more science into our classroom by having a science library. My students have access to a handful of National Geographic Kids leveled readers about animals and have fallen in love with these books. From learning about sea otters to discovering the most dangerous animals (with a surprise ending!) to reading about conservation and protection for animals, this library offers them a world of knowledge. The "Everything About" texts will allow scientists to explore their passions, create opportunities for readers of all levels to engage, and offer students insight into science careers - helping them realize in a new way that science is full of opportunity.
