Many of the children at my school qualify for free lunch. The teachers help in serving breakfast and are given snacks to distribute in the afternoon for the children each day. Besides the low income hardships that these children may face: abuse, custody battles, and mental illnesses (to name a few) can be common occurrences in the school year. The children receive love and support needed from their teachers and support staff. The school employs amazing people who are extremely supportive, patient, kind, and loving. It is a wonderful place to work, especially since I am surrounded by such lovely people.
