I have a classroom of low income students from a variety of racial and ethnic backgrounds. These children have very little at home and rarely have the opportunity to visit museums with family or school and to participate in enriching, educational activities outside of school. Our school's focus is funding reading and mathematics, with nothing left over for science materials.
