I teach K - 5th Grades. Every class loves music and I hear often that Music is their favorite! It is awesome getting to teach something that I love to my favorite kind of people. Kids! By the middle of the school year K-5th grades are sight-reading music. Every year we have concerts that are open to the community that showcases every grade's talent. The students learn songs and choreography and perform. We always have big turn outs. This year our 5th grade did a "Thriller" flash mob! It was amazing! Some of our greatest accomplishments have been made by the 4th and 5th grade Honor Choir. In the 3 years I have been here we have brought home all Superior ratings in competition and have won 3 first place trophies. I love to see the light come on when, after learning all of the basics of music, the students can look at a piece of music and read it. I am so proud of them.
