I work in a dual Spanish/English language school. I teach 2 pre-kindergarten classes of eighteen 4 year old students. We do a lot of hands-on activities and my students get to have a great early childhood experience. However, my students get really hot in my classroom without an air conditioner. They get really exhausted and have a hard time taking a nap in an extremely hot room. Parents and students complain about the room temperature. I open the windows and put two fans, but the temperature does not go down. My students are usually asking for water and talking about how uncomfortable the classroom temperature get when is hot. My students will be able to concentrate more in the lessons given and less on the extremely hot temperature. My students will also be able to take naps appropriate for their age instead of turning around on a hot cot. My students will be able to explore the classroom activities and not sit down because they are tired.
