My students are a unique mix of 10 Pre-K and 10 Kindergarten children. This is a pilot program in a few public schools in the city this year. We are located in a high-poverty, high-crime neighborhood in New York City. That aside, the class is so wonderful I could not ask for anything more. The kids are eager to learn, are so excited to be at school every day, and soak up everything. The kindergrtners have taken on leadership roles as they have taught the Pre K's routines, rules, and also helped them to learn at an accelerated rate. The Pre-K's have helped the kindergrtners to feel more confident, and have learned so much from them as role models.
