My 11th grade and 12th grade students face a disadvantage when it comes to truly experiencing science. With the challenges of simply getting through the state curriculum and re-mediating skills, students are very rarely able to make the connection that science isn't at all about the memorization of facts, but rather a study of observations about the physical world around us. They are innately curious about the world, and I want to help them see that science is a means in which to answer and further question their natural curiosities.
