Having a set of iPads will allow for my students to have access to individual touch screen hand-held devices. Each learner will be able to explore new learning while navigating independently. These devices can be used for exploring a wide variety of learning for individual students, students working in small groups, and/or working whole class. Students will be able to access learning within the areas of reading, writing, math as well as social/emotional and life skills. These touch screen devices will also allow for students to navigate learning with ease and confidence. This will open the opportunity for all learners to have access to various apps that will focus on each individuals learning needs. Many apps are available to address letter identification, building phonic awareness, reading leveled text, number identification, number sense, adding and subtracting, social stories, calming music, and video modeling.
