Students at my school are a diverse population. They are approximately one third Hispanic, one third African-American and one third white. They are nice and respectful and enjoy learning. We are a Title One school, meaning at least 75% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches. Teachers and administration at the school are dedicated to helping students learn and achieve. There is some parent involvement but not a lot. Since it is not an affluent school or community, the students are appreciative of chances to do special things. An example is participation in an after school club coordinated by a teacher. Mine would be a technology club where I want students to develop interests and knowledge in science and technology which I hope will last them years. The photo I posted shows a project students created last year that won 'most innovative and creative' at the Orlando Science Center. Sharing our invention at the science center was a great opportunity for those students.
