My students come from a very small, rural community where 97% of the students are on free or reduced lunch and breakfast, with these sometimes being the only meals that our students receive. Having taught these students for the past three years, I have come to learn that my students love hands-on learning across the curriculum, and they especially love being able to show off just how hard they have worked to produce something. I want my students to be able to take pride in their school community and be able to leave their mark on the school once they leave.
