The Mandarin Dual-Language Immersion Program (MDLIP) at our school is one of the oldest and most established programs in Southern California. Students come from all over Los Angeles County, including from over 13 different school districts, to attend this innovative program. In my class, there are 24 students who have a valuable range of economic, ethnic and linguistic diversity. 80% of the instruction time is in Mandarin.
