My students are hungry for technology to use, to create, to play, and more importantly to learn. I teach art and animation in a high school that is committed to the arts. My typical classroom consists of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, mostly male, and they're all motivated and eager to learn how to create art. My students love watching movies, anime and animations; they want to create the next "Frozen" and "Dragon Ball Z" and have their stories and ideas exposed. They like to write stories and draw comics and discuss the new Marvel movie; they're nerds! Whenever I ask the students about their favorite TV show, movie, book, comic book series, anime, or any other stories out there, they're excited to share. "Doctor Who" has become a new favorite, I've noticed, and so has "The Walking Dead" and the "Jurassic Park" has been revived, and don't get me started on the video games they enjoy. Many of my students want to be the next Stan Lee or work for Pixar. They aspire high.
