My students are learning how to become teachers through our internship program at our high school. They work hard to create lesson plans and provide educational activities to their elemstudents. Student interns could created books, lessons, and worksheets with the items selected to help improve literacy with our special education and ESL elementary school learners. My interns work 3 days a week directly with the elementary students but prepare lessons in my classroom for 2 of the days. They also work with an elementary school teacher mentor that monitors their progress.
