Museday Tuseday is weekly exploration in an otherwise rigorous, academic setting. My fine arts students long for affirmation; they want to see, hear, touch authentic products and performances that attest to their talent and risk. They need a setting--equipped with teachers and resources-- that allow them to tap into the side of their brains that have remained dormant Monday, Wednesday through Friday. With brushes and paint, they can literally leave their mark on their school by creating relevant and beautiful murals, framed art work and clay vessels. They can express themselves in authentic performances and bow to the applause of their peers and parents.
