My students are kinesthetic learners and need opportunities for play based work. Meaningful Morning Work allows students play based activities to explore, create, and communicate. This is a great way to start our day in a non-threatening positive way. Meaningful Morning Work will get my students excited about their day and help them have a positive learning environment. I will have my students start their day with a play based activity in the middle of their table. These activities will include math, literacy and STEM activities. Each activity will be different and the table will work alone or together with their neighbors to explore, create and play in an activity that is tied to our standards. My project will benefit my students because they need more time for learning through play. My students will be excited to start the day with play based activities and collaboration with their peers.
