My students will use the materials to directly impact their learning. The journals will be used for practicing writing stories daily. The book bins with help us organize our classroom library so that students can always find a book on their level to practice reading. The ink will be used to help print activities we can do as a class as well as diagnostic reports to help determine the skills the students need to master. The students at my school come from a low socioeconomic background and a high ESL population which makes it harder for them to succeed in first grade. We work very hard throughout the year and these supplies would make a big impact in our everyday work!
