Our school is 99% African American located in a very low-income, high poverty urban area in Illinois. The location of our charter school allows the students from this neighborhood to achieve greatness in an area where a solid education is their chance succeed. A main focus of my science curriculum is constantly relating what we are learning to the student's everyday life. I try to prove each and every day that science is in everything that we do.
