My 1st-4th grade students with Autism attend a middle-poverty level elementary school in Missouri. My students are loving and incredibly talented in so many ways, however they struggle learning in the traditional classroom setting and need small group instruction to learn academics and social skills. My students follow our districts very high expectations that are aligned with the national Common Core standards, which can be difficult when you are not a pencil/paper kiddo.
