My students are special education students. They spend most of their time in a mainstream classroom, but come to me for extra help in their regular curriculum as well as to work on mastering appropriate goals that have been set for them. My students are eager to learn but require extra assistance. They often become frustrated because they know that it takes longer for them to learn content than the rest of their class. My goal is to help them to feel confident in their learning just as their mainstream peers do. I use a variety of activities and manipulatives in order to facilitate learning and make it a meaningful and fun experience.
