The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! We are trying to put together a word work station so my ESL students will have somewhere they can grab supplies to help them practice reading and writing skills during our DAILY Literacy Centers. Over 90 % of the students I teach are ESL learners. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long readers and writers. The magnetic letters and words will allow students to practice spelling words and building meaningful sentences. The wiki stix, play doh, alphabet stamps, and sight word string up will also give students the chance to build and spell words. The reading trackers will give my students the opportunity to focus on reading only one line at a time. As the teacher, I have done extensive research on finding meaningful activities for my students to use. Yet I truly need your support to make this a reality. Thanks!
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful writing and allow my 1st graders to practice the English language through meaningful activities.
