Because my students have not had as many enriching learning opportunities as students from other, more advantaged populations, I do my best to bring a variety of experiences to them, especially in math and science. In the last three years I have taught at this school, I have scrounged discarded equipment (microscopes), and have purchased a lot of basic chemistry and physical science supplies out of my own pocket. I have done this so my students can experience science in a meaningful way. Unfortunately, I just cannot keep doing that, so I am asking for help. If you look at the list of supplies, you will see that I am trying to spread out the donation to cover a range of science topics. I will do demonstrations for several things, but I believe it is important to have the kids be able to do some lab activities themselves. I would greatly appreciate any contribution you could make toward our project. Thank you!
