I use my reading center every day in my classroom to encourage students to read. I want to give my students a place that feels comfortable and safe. I need more books to encourage my students to read. I want them to explore different genres. With the new calming circles rug and the new books my students will be able to read independently at their own level. I want my students to be able to read fluently. Struggling readers hate to read and don't enjoy coming to reading class. Hurricane Michael has set some of my students back and this reading center will definitely make the students want to read and get back to their goal.
