Our students and I are very excited to return to in person learning and to develop skills on a digital platform that will help them improve in their linguistic and technological skills. This laptop will allow all of us to access a myriad of new applications and global lessons for different audiences with varying learning necessities. New technology in our classrooms is definitely the best way to help all of our students succeed by providing them with engaging lessons that will enhance the teaching and the learning processes when communicating in a second language. Clearly, my students are more engaged with their learning when given new methods of lesson delivery through the use of technology. The laptop for this project will allow me to mingle around the classroom and to be in several locations to interact with my students on a more personable fashion rather than being in a static location with a desktop computer. Through this laptop, my students and I will be able to stay globally connected while at the same time, we will be able to move out of the standard in-class seating arrangements to a more open area i.e., the Atrium - where the students are still learning in a safe environment surrounded by nature; all of this with the main goal of providing an interactive and engaging experience. Evidently the students benefit more from the in-person learning but without having to be in a confined classroom that has no windows at all. Students are more engaged when they are given a choice of where to work and the flexibility of the teacher to deliver the class lesson from a laptop.
