My students have various backgrounds, strengths, weaknesses, and needs. They have a great sense of humor and are active in many after school activities. One thing they have in common is that they are middle school students who need their confidence boosted academically. They are hard workers but often need to learn in a different way than they are presented with in the inclusion classroom. This often includes audio, visual, and kinesthetic learning. It also requires learning in chunks and reteaching. My school is located in a rural setting. Although students were provided with Chromebooks through a grant this year, they are unable to access online features at home due to unavailability of internet access. Many students haven't had the opportunity to learn how to use technology as a tool in their learning.
