The students I teach are students who are struggling in math and need additional help with number sense, math fluency, and math facts. These students are early learners between kindergarten and third grade. Many of them are feeling the setbacks of Covid and learning loss. These students do not qualify for Special Education and can sometimes fall through the cracks with their learning gaps. My class is just for this purpose - to give all students fair and equitable opportunities to learn in a fun and engaging environment. The math items on the list are all resources that are fun and engaging while teaching and targeting number sense, math fluency, and math facts that are so crucial for students' success. Using games and activities are researched based and help students learn number sense, gain math fluency, and recall basic facts quickly.
