I have, in my unbiased opinion, the best students in my class. Academically they are all over the board, but what they have in common is a love of learning. I strongly believe that all children love learning, even if they don't know they do. On the first day of school I gave my class a quick-write assignment to list what they want to do in second grade. The responses I received were not what I was expecting. My favorite response was the following, "I would really like to do a science project. Not a small one that we only work on in school, but a big one that we take home!" My students are excited to learn and are just asking for the opportunities to grow.
