I am passionate about closing the achievement gap in low income schools. However, with that comes a lack of resources. My students come to me usually with major gaps, significantly below grade level. We are often in need of supplies to help support the level of need my students have in their learning. Donor's like you make is possible to provide basic resources for my classroom such as pencils and manipulatives and help alleviate some of the financial burden, while also helping encourage innovation, which ultimately helps to close the achievement gap! All children should have access to an excellent education!
