Meridian Elementary School serves a diverse population including refugee families and immigrants as well as children who come from more stable situations. Our school has a great parent and community support network and a strong foundation for literacy instruction. Meridian Elementary School is the oldest elementary school in our District, built by the public works administration in 1939. The original 2 story building has been renovated and additional classrooms have been added, however the library remains in the basement. Our school also has the highest enrollment, serving nearly 700 Pre-K through 6th graders.
