A creative outlet is incredibly important for everyone, but especially our junior high school students who are trying so hard to find their niche. As Maya Angelou so eloquently stated, "You can't use up creativity-the more you use, the more you have." I want students to feel empowered to be able to design and complete their own creations through the use of a Cricut machine and its associated tools and materials. Those participating in the Cricut learning classes will also gain an understanding of the computer software needed to complete their designs. It is my hope that our campus organizations and groups, such as student council and NJHS will also utilize these tools to create their own T-shirts and such. So often, as educators, we ask our students to sit and listen to what we have to offer. By going into the library, our students feel comfortable to express who they are and having creative tools at their disposal will help to do that for them. Students and staff alike will be able to take advantage of having this versatile tool at our school. There are so many ways that teachers can make use of this machine for their classroom organization.
