I have 23 wonderful, excited, bubbly first graders who I get to share my day with every day! They have an eagerness to learn, and they especially love to become better readers! My students love doing Centers in the classroom! With the materials that I am requesting, students will have the opportunity to do fun and engaging activities that make it even more enjoyable. With big pillows, they can get comfy so they don't need to be sitting in a hard, plastic chair while reading. They'll use new, exciting materials like stamps and special markers/pencils so that doing writing is more interesting. And having all of their materials in a clean, organized places will give them easy access and they'll be able to do the activities independently. I have seen Daily 5 work wonders in classrooms, but it is so important to have the right materials and get the students excited about it in order for it to be effective. I hope to be able to offer my students these great opportunities!
