These books will help each classroom enjoy text that students in our building can connect to. In the hopes that it will allow them to share stories about their countries. Making immigrant and refugee students feel welcomed and supported is easy as providing these books. They will no longer need to just read books with white characters in America. These books will also enrich the learning of the students who don't know much about the countries their friends come from. Many of our students who were born in America don't notice that their friends are different, but these books will allow them to explore how special their friends are.

About my class
