My students have the opportunity to try two huge new things this year: one, to be part of the school in its first year of existence, and two, to be part of one of the first STEAM junior high/high schools in Utah. With technology also being a major part of our school and their school experience, I realized that I need to include it in my classroom as well. We are part of a STEAM school, and I want my class and my students to be part of that for years to come. My students are half and half, where maybe half of them know how to use some technology, and a lot fewer than I planned own an iPod or phone that can access the Internet. My students are hungry for both books and technology, and my classroom will be utilizing both for the purpose of enriching each and every student's life that walks through my classroom doors.
