My students are upper elementary students in Flint, MI. They are struggling economically but are very interested in making the world a better place for everyone. The students attend an extended year program to make better academic progress and enjoy hands on activities. We designed a Mars Colony last year and the students designed a constitution with eco-friendly guidelines so that the citizens on Mars would not face situations like we have on earth with pollution, violence, extinction, etc. This group of students with the right guidance and support will make a difference in society, they just need the opportunity.

About my class
