My motto as a professional educator is LOL: Love our learners! As a teacher, I do my best to make sure my students are learning in and out of the classroom by relating what is taught to their experiences. I teach middle school special education (EC) in a charter school that focuses on project-based learning, interdisciplinary curriculum, and service-learning. I co-teach with general education teachers in such disciplines as 6th grade math, 6th grade ELA, 7th grade reading, 8th grade Math, 8th grade ELA, and 6th and 8th grade science and social studies. These classes help prepare my students to enter secondary education.
