Last year, our school received one-to-one Chromebooks for our students. It has been an exciting learning curve for all of us, both students and teachers! Imagine a class of 5-year-olds each eager to use their computer and becoming adept at navigating to sites where they can learn to read with colorful characters or play fast-moving math games. It's intense, it's fun, and it's LOUD. Enter headphones and earbuds! I learned that: 1. Kids don't like earbuds. They're uncomfortable. 2. Parents may not appreciate having to replace those inexpensive headphones they sent in, which were quickly broken. 3. Kids will listen at any decibel (often the louder the better), and this is not good for little ears. I have researched headphones for children and have come up with some that fit the bill, including comfort, durability, limited decibel level, and price. Thanks for considering my project; it will benefit children for years to come!
