These magazine subscriptions will open up a new world of language arts activities for my students. By combining exciting, complex texts with rigorous support materials, my students will build both their reading and writing skills as well as make connections to science and social studies content. Electronic resources and teacher guides help me to support the learning of all my students by allowing me to differentiate within my lessons. Aligned to state standards, Storyworks exposes students to a wide range of genres including informational and narrative nonfiction, short fiction, poetry, debates, and read-aloud plays based on myths, classic literature, and history! This exposure coupled with demanding tasks, prepare students for success on standardized assessments. My students will learn about the world around them with these engaging texts and become better readers and writers!
